Child Dedication is when parents make the commitment to raise their child in a home where Jesus is the focal point.
The community surrounding this child is saying, we want to take part in this kid coming to know Jesus. It is different from believer’s baptism in that the child is not receiving salvation, but instead a promise that all the loved ones surrounding them will point to Jesus as they raise this child up in the faith.
